Computer Vision in Production - Nicolas Alt

<p>Bio:</p><p>Nicolas founded Visevi Robotics together with Stefan Lochbrunner in 2019. During his PhD research, he investigated visual and haptic perception for smart robots and proposed the patented technology of camera-based sensing. He studied electrical engineering at TU Munich and at Georgia Tech.</p><p> </p><p>Visevi:</p><p>Smart service robots are about to change our life at home and at work. Contrary to existing industrial robots; they observe their environment through cameras and understand it through AI-based computer vision. Visevi builds robots that use cameras as their only sensor type. By replacing most other sensors with a computer vision software; robots become lighter; get simplified and cheaper - exactly what is needed for large-scale use at home and in SMEs.</p>
