Community kills bandit, recover livestock

<p>Residents of Giyawa community in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State in the early hours of Sunday killed a suspected bandit.</p>, <p>The community reportedly resisted fleeing bandits, from Samana village in Binji Local Government Area of the state, from passing through their village on their way to their Goronyo forest hideout.</p>, <p>They also recovered about 150 rustled livestock from the criminals.</p>, <p>A source said that four persons were allegedly killed, 18 others abducted, and many livestock rustled recently in Giyawa.</p>, <p>The acting spokesperson of the Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report.</p>
