Description
Clare's Aontú representative claims staffing deficits are preventing Local Authorities from repurposing vacant properties for residential use. Figures released through a parliamentary question show that three former Garda Stations in Clare have been unoccupied for the last nine years. Sales have been agreed for the former stations at Doonbeg & Lahinch, while Broadford station is being prepared for disposal. Aontú's Mid West Public Relation's Officer, Eric Nelligan says county councils need support in clerical positions to avail of funds.
