Clare Immigrant Support Network Hoping To Create Hope Away From Home

The Clare Immigrant Support Network is hoping to create 'hope away from home' this International Refugee Day. The annual celebration takes place today, coinciding with Ireland's first ever 'Refugee Week'. Over 5,000 Asylum Seekers are currently residing in the county, with the population of the Ennistymon Electoral area now 10.87% Ukrainian, the highest per capita nationwide. Co-Ordinator of Clare Immigrant Support Network, Eimear O'Connor believes recent tensions in the county can be relinquished by recognising the immense contribution of new arrivals.
