Clare Green Senator 'Embarrassed' At Continued Difficulties With Autism Care Access

A Clare Government Senator is calling on the Education Minister to explain ongoing issues with the provision of accessing autism services. It follows an emotional address from a number of representative groups to the Seanad this month resulting from what they say is the difficulty in accessing supports for children in need of them. The Joint Oireachtas Committee on Autism has called for all autistic children to be granted access to the 2023 Summer Programme. Inagh-based Green Party Senator Roisin Garvey says clarity from the Department is needed.
