Clare Green Senator Confident International Community Will Commit To COP 28 Agreements

Clare's Green Senator is confident the International Community will commit to their agreements at COP 28. Delegates from 197 nations and the EU have signed a document, pledging to "transition away" from fossil fuels in a bid to limit global warming to 1.5c per annum. The text is not legally binding though and and stops short of demanding countries to phase out coal, oil and gas. Inagh Green Party Senator Roisín Garvey says that this is the strongest stance taken by world powers to date.
