Description

A Clare Chef is urging the public to get organised in the kitchen to cut back on food waste. It comes as a new survey has revealed that Irish families are throwing away an average of €700 from their grocery shopping each year. Fruits and Vegetables are the most common victims of acts of spoilage, expiration and overbuying with the average person throwing away 44kg of produce per annum. Seamus Fitzgerald from ABC Cookery in Ennis says households can enhance the shelf life of their fresh goods by applying simple tricks.
