Bell, M.D.</p> <p>Patients with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension have a life expectancy of one to three years if left untreated. CTPH is usually caused by blood clots that are prolonged in the body for a certain period. In addition, the blood tends to back up into the lungs, which increases the patient's blood pressure.
