Chris Kolakowski interview-160th anniversary of the Civil War Seven Days Battles

<p>Tonight’s guest is author Christopher Kolakowski. Chris in addition to being a three-time author is also the director of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison, Wisconsin. During his lifetime he also served brilliantly at other distinguished historical museums such as the Douglas MacArthur memorial in Norfolk, VA, and the General George Patton Museum and Center for Leadership at Fort Knox, KY.</p> <p>This week marks the 160th anniversary of the Seven Days Battles which took place during the Civil War from June 25, 1862 to July 1, 1862 between Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia and General George McClellan’s Army of the Potomac. What was at stake was the safety of the Confederate capitol located in Richmond, Virginia.</p> <p>Chris Kolakowski is eminently qualified to discuss the significance of the Seven Days Battles because in 2016 he released the book “The Virginia Campaigns March-August 1862” which discusses the Seven Days battles in excellent detail.</p>
