Choosing Books that Allow Us To Help Our Children or Students Grow

<p>There is a time and a place and a purpose for reading of materials chosen by the classroom teacher for all the students or some of the students. However, if we want our children or students to develop a love of reading, then we need to provide them with opportunities to choose books for themselves. Visiting a library with a well developed collection of books of all kinds and topics and then allowing students to browse and chose for themselves contributes to a growing independence and developing specific tastes.</p>
