After selling his company in 2010, he accepted an invitation from the young founders of Airbnb to help transform their promising home-sharing start-up into the world's largest hospitality brand. His newest book, <em>Wisdom@Work: The Making of a Modern Elder</em>, was inspired by his post 50-year-old experience as both a mentor and unexpected intern there. In 2018, Chip founded the Modern Elder Academy, a midlife wisdom school dedicated to career and life transitions that help attendees repurpose a lifetime of experience and gain a new sense of relevance.
