China sets 2021 target to boost rural development

China's central authorities have reaffirmed the importance of agriculture related work. According to the first policy statement for this year, agriculture, rural areas, and farmers will remain the top priority during the next five-year plan period. More measures will be taken to advance the country's agricultural modernization drive, enhance food security, and maintain the achievements in poverty eradication.
