<p>Ep #186 -</p> <p>The way you behave, your personality, your habits, all of these began to form in you at a young age. If you feel like you are acting in a way that no longer serves you, look no further than the way you behaved as a child for the root cause in the restlessness in your life now.</p> <p>There is an eternal child in all of us. It seeks to be healed from the behaviors we took on in our youth to survive in an unknown and, more than likely, chaotic world.</p> <p>Here are the archetypes we will discuss in this episode and how they are still playing out in your life today. What you do with this information will inform the rest of your life. No pressure or anything, LOL.</p> <ul><li><ul><li>➢Codependent – enables other people's bad behaviors </li> <li>➢Responsible one – brings order to a chaotic home</li> <li>➢Adjuster – detaches emotionally and adjusts to any situation</li> <li>➢Placater – tries to make others feel better</li> <li>➢Acting out child – bad behavior distracts attention from something, someone, etc.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul><li style="list-style-type:none;"> <ul><li>➢Enabler – protects others from the negative consequences of their actions</li> <li>➢Hero – takes on greater responsibilities, high-achiever</li> <li>➢Lost child – needs and wants overlooked</li> <li>➢Mascot – distracts from the problems of the family (funny, jester, clown)</li> <li>➢Scapegoat – distracts from the problems/issues by getting into trouble</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>With these laid out in front of you, you can decipher which ones are controlling you and which ones you have gone "anti" or sharp-corrected away from. Are any of these inherently good or bad, desirable or undesirable? It's all in the way they present themselves in your life and how you are using them. A balanced approach to all of them will benefit you at certain times.
