Charter Cases in Canada’s Courts with John Carpay

We are once again talking about the Charter of Rights and the recent surge of constitutional challenge cases in Canada's courts. These cases, pertaining to the federal government’s management of Covid-19, cover many fundamental rights of Canadians: mobility, conscience, freedom of peaceful assembly, freedom of communication in the media, protection from unreasonable asset seizure, the list goes on. One notable case in particular, has been brought forth by The Hon. Brian Peckford, who has been widely accepted to be an authority figure concerning the Charter, being the last surviving member who helped craft it in 1982.
