Description

A surface low-pressure developed over southeastern Colorado overnight and is advecting moisture and cloud cover out ahead of it with east-south easterly winds across the Tri-state area here this morning. The low will slowly track southeast into the OK/TX Panhandle before turning northeast and moving through Wichita tomorrow morning and Kansas City tomorrow afternoon. This will bring scattered showers over the area this afternoon & maybe a rumble of thunder or two overnight. Tomorrow, morning showers will end west to east as the low slowly moves east with totals ranging from .50” to 1”. Today and tomorrow cool temps in the 40’s and 50’s during the day and in the upper 30’s and low 40’s at night. Friday and Saturday southwesterly flow ahead of the next low-pressure system coming over the Rockies will bring the return of drier and warmer weather to end the week and start the weekend. Sunday evening, we could see a round of scattered showers & storms.
