Changing Times Ag WX; January Alberta Clipper Pattern; Drought Coditions Carry Into Spring Unless Pacific Volcanic Activity Forces a Shift

<p>Today an upper-level trough and cold front is ushering in colder air with north winds 10-20 mph.  Daytime temps will only be in the 20’s and lows in the single digits with winch chills 5 to 15 below zero. Light snow and flurries are possible through the day and evening, but very limited moisture available, thus accumulation would be less than 1”.   Thursday will remain cold with highs in the 30’s with brief sunshine a ridging ahead of the next troughs arrival Thursday evening.  Friday a quick system keeps temps in check in the low 40’s with another chance for rain showers midday or snow showers in the evening, while Saturday’s an Sunday’s temps again reach into the 40’s and 50’s with northwest flow from high-pressure building to the west.  </p>
