<p>Today the ridge of high-pressure over the Rockies will build over the northern and Central Plains and starting a warming trend for the rest of the week.  We can expect completely dry conditions due to subsidence, afternoon high temperatures to start in climb into 90’s, by the end of the week and Saturday be in the upper 90’s and possibly low 100’s, while lows will be seasonal in the 60-65-degree range.   With south southeasterly surface winds, it should remain humid and there could be some elevated heat indexes Friday and Saturday, especially along and east of Highway 83.  Over the weekend the ridge may weaken some and allow northwest flow to come over the top and through the area, triggering a late afternoon or evening isolated storm, but this is a low probability.   </p>
