We leave behind the balanced middle ground of the emerald green anahata chakra and reach into the etheric range of turquoise and blue that resonate with the throat chakra.</p> <p>The element of this chakra is akasha, a Sanskrit term that translates as “ether”, “limitless space” or “sky”. The enveloping element of air still surrounds us, yet we reach beyond it into the unknown ether – the realm of vibrations, sound, communication, and the awakening of creative identity. It is an awakening that stems from a realization of yourself as a separate being from your security in your social environment, and from your desire to make a personal contribution to the world around you.</p> <p> </p> <p>Communication is the essential function of the fifth chakra.
