Carabao Cup: It’s about choice – Pochettino on why he dropped Chelsea winger

<p>Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino has explained why he left winger, Noni Madueke out of his squad that defeated Brighton 1-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.</p>, <p>Madueke suffered from a muscle injury recently, leading to his absence from Chelsea’s last two league games.</p>, <p>The 21-year-old, who was signed from PSV Eindhoven for €35 million in January this year, has struggled to impress at the Blues.</p>, <p>He has scored two goals and registered no assists in 15 games across competitions for Pochettino’s side.</p>, <p>Madueke is yet to find his way into Pochettino’s starting XI on a regular basis.</p>, <p>Asked the reason behind Madueke’s omission from the squad to face Brighton, Pochettino told reporters (h/t @FabrizioRomano on X):</p>, <p>“Madueke injured?
