The group gives some backstory on prepping for this episode. Greger is now advocating protein restriction in his latest book. (18:00) They discuss protein requirements and lean body mass. Vinnie is fine with vegetarianism as it typically includes some animal proteins like eggs and cheese. A question seen a lot is whether oatmeal is healthier than eggs. (26:00) They discuss how Greger’s go-to phrase is always a generic term of “the literature” to try to block arguments. (30:00) Nina Teicholz has taken all “the literature” Greger references and has turned it on its head.
