Concepts of marriage have shifted dramatically across the years; viewed as a legal, economic or political contract vs. relationship construct vs. love bond (or is it bondage?). And how we escape from a marriage that doesn’t satisfy or fit our expectations, for a range of reasons, has also changed. Is marriage more about being comfortable and compatible in what is familiar or about the novelty and adventures you can get up to if you marry your opposite?
