Calls For "Unsightly" Scaffolding To Be Brought To An End In Scarriff Graveyard

It's claimed overdue works in a Scarriff graveyard must be carried out as a matter of urgency. There is currently scaffolding in place around the church ruins at the Old Moynoe Burial Ground in Scarriff due to safety risks posed by the delapidated structure. The scaffolding was erected in March 2022 as an interim measure but no update has been given by the local authority on when works will happen. Whitegate Fine Gael Councillor Pat Burke says while funding is welcome, it is vital that physical works take place.
