While buying a home in 2021 was challenging with tight inventory and lots of buyers, 2022 is starting to look like 2021 part 2 with low inventory and strong demand. Buying a home this year remains within reach thanks to the low mortgage rates that are continuing to be the story. Remember even if prices stayed the same and interest rates rose, you would be paying more and affording less. Last but not least, it is important to recognize that the work from home environment is moving people away from the cities, and most importantly is that staycation is the new normal for many folks.</p>
