His message was clear, “There’s no turning back.” Two years later, he conquered the Aztec empire. Likewise, every Christian must die to self before following Jesus and taking our place in God’s family (Mark 8:34-35; Luke 14:27). This means turning our back on sin and those thought patterns which go against God’s commands and character.
