BUA donates drugs, school uniforms, cement in Sokoto community

<p>As part of its social responsibilities to the host community, the management of BUA Cement in Sokoto has handed over drugs meant for 15 health clinics in the Wamakko local government area of the town.</p>, <p>Speaking while handing over the items at the headquarters of the Wamakko local government area on Saturday, the Managing Director of BUA Cement, Engineer Yusuf Binji, said the donation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives to the host community.</p>, <p>Represented by the Assistant Director, Head Admin and Corporate Services, Mr Sada Suleiman, the company is dedicated to offering such kind gestures to its host communities every year to provide them with easy access to medical care in their clinics at no cost.</p>, <p>“Initially, we distributed and donated drugs to only 8 clinics, namely: Wajeke, Arkilla, Kalambaina, Sabon Gari Alu, Bakin Kusu, Gidan Boka, Gidan Bailu, and Mobile Police Barracks clinics.</p>, <p>“Due to popular request and the benefits of the gesture to the communities, the company deemed it appropriate to add and extend to another six clinics across the local government, so that people within these communities will also benefit.</p>, <p>“The six additional clinics are Gumbi, Arkillah Federal low-cost, Farfaru clinic, Beni village clinic, Asare, and Kaura Kimba clinics.”</p>, <p>Binji further said that in addition to the drugs, the company is also donating cement to 68 communities to assist them in doing some repairs on communal facilities such as Mosques, Cemeteries, drainage, and other facilities in preparation for the rainy season.</p>, <p>“On behalf of the Management of BUA Cement Plc, Sokoto, it is my pleasure to present these items to the 15 community clinics, Cement to 68 communities, Uniforms to Sabon Garin Alu Primary School, Khalifah Isyaka Rabiu Primary School Gidan Bailu, as well as exercise books to 12 primary schools across Wamakko local government area.”</p>, <p>While calling on the officials of the local government council to put in place moni
