Brother Of Late Laura Brennan Believes 90% HPV Uptake Rate Is 'Realistic'

The brother of the late Laura Brennan believes a 90 percent HPV vaccine uptake rate in the near future is a 'realistic' aim. This month is HPV Awareness Month, which aims to raise awareness of a virus that impacts most people, male and female in their lifetime, often without knowing it. Uptake rates of the vaccination in Ireland are around the 80 percent mark, with the Laura Brennan HPV Vaccination Catch-Up Programme having held its first clinic in the county back in January. Laura's brother Kevin says eradicating cervical cancer from circulation is the ultimate aim.
