With the title "For Better AND for Worse" the word of importance here is AND. He emphasizes the importance of relationships not being an either/or proposition but a more healthy point of view might be to pay attention to the AND. After all, healthy relationships spend a good amount of time on that aspect. There is a mixture of prose and poetry in this interesting, thoughtful read.
