BOOK OF JOHN S14 E2- PEACE OF GOD

Why wont the Master just change the condition? Why give Peace? Sometimes what we need in trouble is not a change of condition. Sometimes what God does is to change our condition rather. He changes the hearts and the eyes to affect our perspectives. Why did Jesus impart Peace instead of changing the troubled state of the disciples?
