<p>Kele Okereke had been working on his band for quite some time before landing on a dedicated 4 piece line-up. After a year and a half of road testing their songs at clubs and pubs across London, it was a chance meeting at a Franz Ferdinand gig that Kele was able to hand over a demo CD of his band's material to a couple of the Franz members, as well as influential British radio DJ Steve Lamacq. From there, radio play and single releases commenced.</p><p>Finally "Bloc Party" launched onto the scene in 2005 with their debut album "Silent Alarm", a blistering, energy filled piece of genius.
