<p>GOBBLE GOBBLE!! &nbsp;Hope your TURKEY DAY was Fantastic!</p> <p><br></p> <p>Monday Funday is rounding out so let's get back to some COMIC MAYHEM!&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>Depending on which issue you read from this LIMITED SERIES by AfterShock Comics, you may or may not have enjoyed BEYOND THE BREACH</p> <p><br></p> <p>The series was one of three that I read this year regarding mysterious rifts opening between our world and that which lay beyond the mysterious veil leading to the void. &nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>The story never really locked on to a consistent tone, and from issue to issue, we moved from Horror to Comedy to Space Adventure to Action Scifi and back again several times during the short five issue run - and yes, there is a space bounty hunter who is dressed like a futuristic Elvis!</p> <p><br></p> <p>As for art, although it does match the action well, you can't quite say it is the most visually stunning panels or layout you have ever seen.</p> <p><br></p> <p>But, for some reason, most likely due to the likability of the main characters, you want to see the story through to the finale. &nbsp;I give the writers credit, they don't stretch the series out longer than necessary. &nbsp;We are given exactly what we need for a quick run through the most bizarre, and somewhat humorous at times, alien invasion of the year</p> <p><br></p> <p>Honest answer, I really did enjoy this random run through the countryside, fighting space invaders from the back of giant turtoise with a cute talking kaola bear-like animal while saving a little kid from being eaten by giant beetle-things. &nbsp;It was fun, pure and simple, and sometimes those are the best stories.</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p>Stay tuned!</p> <p><br></p> <p>https://www.instagram.com/jrails247/</p> <p><br></p> <p>#horrorcomics #comicbooks #horrorcomicbooks #aftershockcomics</p> --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. <a href="https://anchor.fm/app">https://anchor.fm/app</a> Support this podcast: <a href="http
