Ever wondered about the pros and cons of being an independent artist vs. being signed to a major record label? This week's artist is singer-songwriter, Freddie Dickson, a good friend of ours, and a key part of Berlin independent music scene. A few years ago, Lily Allen discovered Freddie's music and he was signed to Columbia Records in London. After awhile, he realised the music he was making wasn't true to his sound and who he wanted to be, so they parted ways and Freddie started a new chapter in Berlin. In this episode, we discuss mental health, how Freddie would love his music to be listened to, and the differences he has experienced personally between being signed to a major label, and pursuing music independently.
