We begin our new 5-part sermon series entitled, "Being human: living imago dei,” with Pastor Tara VinCross! To be human is to experience emotions. Compassion, joy, sadness, anger, and fear are all part of what it means to be human. But sometimes we can feel inconvenienced by emotions, or even consider these reactions “unchristian.” What if, instead of pushing emotions away, God calls us to understand our emotions, allowing them to inform how we live as followers of Jesus? Together we will explore what it means to live as image bearers, living into the full experience of being human, like Jesus did.
