Behind the Song: Rapha by Stephen McWhirter

Description
<p>In this episode, we have Stephen McWhirter back to share the story behind his worship song "Rapha." He explains that the name comes from the Hebrew Jehovah-Rapha, meaning "The Lord Who Heals." During an Instagram live songwriting session, Stephen and Jason Clayborne asked viewers what issues they wanted prayer for, and many requested healing. So right on the livestream, they wrote the chorus and bridge, declaring God's healing over listeners.</p> <p>After completing the song together later, Stephen produced the recording himself. He discusses his belief that intimacy with God grows when we love Him for who He says He is, not begging Him to be who He already is. Though healing doesn't always happen how we hope, Stephen clings to God's unchanging nature. Overall, he offers encouragement for creatives to keep testing ideas while trusting God's guidance through the process.</p> <p><strong>SUBSCRIBE TO THE PODCAST:</strong></p> <p><a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-artist-mentorship-podcast/id1515130967" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">On Apple Podcasts</a></p> <p><a href="https://open.spotify.com/show/1sIVK91hWym2n4OzFUOidN?si=gys_5PFsQgqF3qT_iWS39w" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">On Spotify</a></p> <p><a href="https://anchor.fm/christianmusicindustry" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">All other platforms</a></p> <p><strong>CONNECT WITH US:</strong></p> <p><a href="https://christianmusicmarketing.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">christianmusicmarketing.com</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/christianmusicmarketing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Christian Music Marketing on Instagram</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/christianmusicmarketing" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Christian Music Marketing Facebook</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/christianmusicindustry/"
