Bayelsa Guber: Atiku congratulates Governor Diri

<p>Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Governor Duoye Diri for winning the Bayelsa State governorship election.</p>, <p>Recall that INEC on Monday declared that Diri polled a total of 175,196 votes to win the election, defeating other candidates, including his closest rival, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who got 110,108 votes.</p>, <p>Reacting, Atiku congratulated the people of Bayelsa for voting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.</p>, <p>“I heartily congratulate Your Excellency, Governor Duoye Diri of our great party, and Bayelsa on his hard-fought and well-won electoral victory against all odds.</p>, <p>“Your reelection reflects the confidence reposed in you by your people based on your performance in your first term.</p>, <p>“I congratulate the people of Bayelsa who stood firmly by their votes, by the PDP, and by the Governor,” he wrote on X.</p>
