*) Workers crushed to death in India At least 17 workers have been crushed to death in western India when a crane collapsed on an under-construction expressway outside the financial capital Mumbai. The crane toppled onto large concrete slabs during the night, with debris smashing down as labourers worked on the Samruddhi Expressway.
