Anyanwu resumes office as PDP National Secretary after loss in Imo guber race

<p>The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the just concluded gubernatorial election in Imo State, Samuel Anyanwu, has resumed his office at the party’s National Secretariat.</p>, <p>Anyanwu, who lost the poll to the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Hope Uzodinma, is the National Secretary of the PDP.</p>, <p>DAILY POST reports that despite moves by some party stakeholders, demanding the resignation of Anyanwu prior to the Saturday election, he has remained the party’s National Secretary.</p>, <p>Addressing staff of the National Secretariat on Tuesday, Anyanwu thanked members of the party for their support during the election.</p>, <p>DAILY POST recalls that Uzodinma had polled 540,308 votes to beat Anyanwu, who scored 71,503 votes in the election.</p>
