Amy Gilliland on how people will drive GDIT's future

<p>As president of General Dynamics IT, Amy Gilliland runs one of the largest IT businesses in the federal market. She also oversaw one of the biggest integration efforts when GD added CSRA in 2018, effectively doubling Gilliland’s portfolio.</p><p>As she shares in this interview with Washington Technology Editor Nick Wakeman, many of the mechanisms she put in place to combine the two businesses continue to pay dividends today and laid the foundation for how the company responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. </p><p>Chief among those is a focus on people. And while people were important for the integration of GDIT and CSRA, they will be even more crucial for the long-term success of GDIT.</p><p>Understanding technology and your customer’s priorities are just “table stakes,” according to Gilliland. Your people will be what differentiates you from your competitors.</p>
