American Heart Association 2020 Meeting Highlights

Dr. Steve Nissen, Chief Academic Officer, Cleveland Clinic Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute talks about three trials presented at the 2020 AHA Scientific Sessions: the STRENGTH trial (omega 3 fatty acid’s impact on cardiovascular events) ; STOP AF trial (medication vs. ablation in treating patients with new onset atrial fibrillation); and the RHAPSODY trial (randomized trial of rilonacept in the treatment of recurrent pericarditis). He also provides his take on the SAMSON trial (symptoms related to statins vs. placebo) and TIPS-3 (an international poly-pill study).
