<p>Recipient of the 2009 Distinguished Artist Award, Beth Nielsen Chapman is interviewed by Arts Council Executive Director Al Head about her life as a popular singer/songwriter and as an educator. They also discuss Chapman's inspirations and her unique process of songwriting. Ms Chapman began her career in Montgomery and went on to write for a diverse group of artists including Willie Nelson, Roberta Flack, Neil Diamond, Bette Midler, Waylon Jennings and Faith Hill.</p>
