AFCON 2023: Ex-Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi makes prediction

<p>Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi has predicted the country to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.</p>, <p>The 2023 AFCON will take place from January, 2024 and will be hosted by Ivory Coast.</p>, <p>However, Mikel Obi firmly believes that Nigeria’s Super Eagles can clinch their fourth AFCON title in Ivory Coast.</p>, <p>In a video shared by CAFonline via its X account on Thursday, Mikel Obi confidently stated that the Super Eagles will turn out victorious and take the trophy home to Nigeria.</p>, <p>“This is coming home. The tournament is coming home, AFCON 2023 is coming home to Nigeria.” Mikel Obi said.</p>, <p>Meanwhile, the 2023 AFCON draw was conducted on Thursday night and Nigeria was placed in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.</p>
