<p>The government of Kenya through the Ministry of Sports, Culture, &amp; Heritage was directed by the president of Kenya HE. Uhuru Kenyatta to avail Ksh. 100M from the Sports Fund to artists, actors and musicians, during this period of global pandemic.</p> <p><br></p> <p>This was after the President had announced that through</p> <p>the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, in collaboration with Kenya Copyright Board, Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) they have established a framework to ensure full transparency for artist’s earnings. The government has projected that a total of Ksh. 200M every month will be paid to musicians through the system and other platforms. Which in turn translates to over Ksh. 2 Billion going into the pockets of Kenyan artistes in a year. The President also added the payments should begin that same week in line with the pledge he had made in January.</p> <p><br></p> <p>In this episode we give the facts how the monies will be shared.
