Acts 7:6-60 - Prog 27

Our study in Acts 7 continues here on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. Dr. Mitchell begins in verse 6 as he looks through Stephen’s Biblical defense before the religious council. Dr. Mitchell points out how Stephen begins with the glory of God and ends with the God of glory. Stephen reiterating the history of Israel to these rulers, revealed his belief in Moses. He quotes Genesis, Exodus,Deuteronomy, all written by Moses. He also quotes two prophets, Amos and Isaiah. A total of 16 times Stephen quotes the Scriptures of these Hebrews in defense of the God of glory who raised Jesus His son from the dead. He reminded them that they were the ones who betrayed and murdered the Lord Jesus. They were convicted and began to stone Stephen as he called on the name of the Lord to forgive them.
