Description

In this lesson, Luke brings Stephen’s martyrdom to the forefront. While being stoned, full of the Holy Spirit, Stephen saw the heavens opened and the glory of God and Jesus standing at God’s right hand. Here all three persons of the Trinity are spoken of. What an encouragement to this man while he was on the verge of death. Yet, he prays for their forgiveness. Could you or I do that? This was not without observation to a certain young man by the name of Saul. On that very day, persecution of the church began in Jerusalem and it was scattered through out the region of Judea and Samaria. In spite of this, the people were continuing to preach the Word, the good news of Jesus. Let’s turn in our Bible with Dr. Mitchell to Acts 7:54 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/unchanging-word/message
