Acts 4:13-23 - Prog 20

From Acts chapter 3 into chapter 4, the context of the healing of a 40 year old lame man by the power of God through Peter and John is present. Peter and John chose to obey God rather than obeying unbelieving religious rulers and they were arrested and imprisoned. So now in the presence of the rulers, elders and scribes along with the high priests these religious men took note of the fact that Peter and John were not men of their religious schools, but they had been with Jesus for a period of 3 plus years. Time spent with Jesus Himself is evident and recognized by others. Bible school and seminary are good for understanding the Bible and doctrine, but these can not take the place of time spent alone with Jesus Himself.
