In this study, we cover the entire chapter 25 of Acts. Dr. Mitchell notes, the issue is once again Paul’s defense of the resurrection even though the same three accusations were once again brought against the apostle. The gentile Roman authorities were at a stand still as to what should be done, since the issue, as far as they were concerned, amounted to nothing more than Paul saying a certain dead man, Jesus, is actually alive. Paul wrote in 1Cor. 2:8 that “..none of the rulers of this world knew the wisdom of God. For if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” They did not know God’s wisdom ... the person and work of our savior the Lord Jesus Christ, so they did crucify Him.
