Description

In this 24th chapter of Acts, Luke continues to relate the opposition towards the Apostle Paul appearing in the presence of Felix in Caesarea. This time, a certain lawyer named Tertullus speaks both flattery towards Felix the governor and lying accusations against Paul with the unbelieving Jews in hearty agreement. As we read this passage, we see that the opposition has put forth baseless accusations which in fact they could not prove. Next, Paul is given the nod to present his defense. Paul puts forth, once again, his hope in God who declares the resurrection of both the just and the unjust. This he read and believed from the Old Testament revelation. Job 19:25-27 Job knows His redeemer lives and that he will see Him even in his own risen body. Here is Dr. Mitchell, Acts 24:1.
