During the night, The Lord Jesus, standing by Paul, encouraged him personally. He told Paul, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about Me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.” What an encouragement from the Lord to declare that Paul had indeed testified to Him in Jerusalem but then also the Lord gave Paul His future assurance to where he would next bear witness to the risen son of God. His Divine direction! An evil plan was being initiated by over 40 Jews to kill Paul. It might have happened except for the listening ears of Paul’s nephew who went to Paul, informed him of it. Paul sent him to tell the Roman tribune of the plot.
