Paul, finishing up his testimony of faith in Christ, had the people’s ear until he told them how the Lord had told him to go to the gentiles. Then the people began to shout and cry out and throw dust into the air as a sign of disgust. Do you find those who show disgust toward you when giving your own personal testimony of how God has changed your life by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? Even among those who say they believe in God? Jesus said in John 15:21, “But all these things they will do to you on account of My Name, because they do not know Him who sent Me.” Paul made use of his rights as a Roman citizen to protect himself from an unjust punishment.
