Acts 2:7-22 - Prog 10

Continuing in Acts 2 we are in verses 7-22 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. Dr. Mitchell, continues his exposition beginning in Acts 2:14 where Peter stands up to speak to the visitors from the various nations. Peter answers their accusations by saying: “these are not drunk, as you suppose”. Be sure to examine suppositions. These were not drunk but they are filled with the Holy Spirit as Peter explains from scripture, Joel 2:28-32. In all that this Scripture says, Dr. Mitchell points out that not everything written there was completely fulfilled on this day of Pentecost. But Peter uses these verses to speak of God’s pouring out the Holy Spirit and that all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Have you called on the name of Jesus Christ?
