Description

Our study in Acts continues in chapter 2 beginning at verse 29. Peter begins an historical overview of David, who not only was he God’s appointed King, but was also called a prophet. Why? because David wrote of the Messiah in Ps.16 as being raised from the dead. Peter confirms that David wrote of the risen Christ, because David both died and his tomb was still in Jerusalem at the present time Peter was speaking. The people knew this to be true. So David had not written of himself, but of the Messiah who is Jesus because God raised Jesus from the dead. God made Jesus both Lord and Christ. God will take care of each one of us who have trusted in this risen Christ who is now at the right hand of God.
